The Peaceful Power of Positivity

In life, sometimes there can be a series of unfortunate events that can be devastating. It’s not always easy to stay positive and optimistic especially during a time of great difficulty, but it’s extremely necessary to do so. Pessimism in a trivial situation never made it better. Negativity can cause long term effects such as chronic stress. Instead of dealing with life challenges with negative thoughts, it’s a lot healthier and helpful to replace those thoughts with positive ones. It’s always useful as well as encouraging to find a positive aspect in a tough situation. Even in the midst of a storm there is always something positive to dwell on. Such as a healthy support system, having a place to stay, food to eat, etc. Studies have shown that when a positive attitude is maintained it increases the chance of having better heart health, productivity and overcoming dilemmas as well as hardships. I have began each day saying positive affirmations to myself such as “I believe in myself” “I can overcome difficult situations” “I am confident” “I am brave” “I will succeed.” I believe the more that I am saying positive affirmations to myself, I am creating an atmosphere for those affirmations to exist. Personally, I am going through a difficult situation that requires me to have surgery but I refuse to allow negativity to rule my life so I forced myself to find the positive aspects of this situation and I felt so much better when I did. Negativity brings frustration, anxiety and even depression. Positive thoughts can bring desired results, relief and promotes better health. Mama, give yourself the power to change the outlook of your situation and give yourself a peace of mind with positivity!
