Self-Care With Daily Affirmations

Negativity never gives any wanted results, so why include it in your vocabulary? Through experience, I have learned that if you speak, think or teach negatively you will receive just that, negative, unfruitful results. Thankfully, we can let go of pessimistic thinking and embrace positivity with open arms. I used to suffer with severe depression when I was teenager and part of the reason why I suffered from it so deeply was because what I was speaking and how I was thinking, was negative and I would dwell on negativity literally, all of the time. Concerned, my mom helped me understand that if I replace the negative thoughts with positive ones, it can make a difference for the better, and she was absolutely right. When I changed how I thought and what I said on a daily basis, good things started happening to me. My mom was able to give me the tools needed to have life-changing experiences but it was up to me to build on it. As years progressed, I must say I continued to struggle with it, mainly because I didn’t love myself fully. Now, that I am in my 30’s, I can confidently say I defeated negativity from my thought process as well as my vocabulary and I am living my best life. I love myself entirely, that is why I firmly believe that self-care is so important for not only mothers but for everyone. One effective way I was able to eliminate negativity and self-hate from my life was daily affirmations. With daily affirmations, you have the ability to speak love, peace, acceptance, prosperity, happiness into existence. It has been proven that daily affirmations boosts self-confidence, it helps reach goals, as well as changes negative thought patterns into positive ones. Words definitely have power to change any situation or circumstance. Some affirmations that I say on a daily basis are:

I am worth it.

I love myself.

I accept myself.

I am successful.

I deserve good things.

I accept responsibility for my own happiness and development.

I have the power to create change.

I am better than I was yesterday.

Mamas, I challenge you to say daily affirmations for twenty one days and I guarantee you will see positive results. Replacing negative thought patterns with positive ones may not be easy but it’s definitely worth it. Acknowledging that there might be negative aspects in life but dwelling on positivity and speaking it into existence, to produce desired results, is self-care.
