I am preaching to myself too, when I say it’s okay to take a nap during the day or right after work. As busy boss mamas, sometimes our bodies yearn for it because it’s just what it needs to function properly. Society, over the years, has taught unhealthy practices about what a woman should do to be a “good mother” and those methods include constantly doing, serving , cooking or educating without rest, and that mothers one requirement is to be completely tired in order to be the best mom. Let me tell you something, that mindset is trash, go ahead and throw it away already, it’s not serving anyone any good. Being the high strung active person that I am, I constantly have the urge to do something. Whether it’s doing laundry, cleaning or exercising my mind screams at me if I am not busy. However, it’s always the wisest decision to listen to your body if it requires some rest and recuperation. Studies have proven that incorporating naps in our busy schedule a few times a week, actually improves heart health. Some other benefits from napping include reducing fatigue, as well as mood improvement and performance. It’s Friday you were going to relax anyway, might as well start it off right with a little much needed nap, you deserve some rest mama! Go ahead and soothe yourself with some swift slumber.

Amen, I agree 100%
