True Self Care Is Self Acceptance

Mamas, let’s have a much needed talk. I wanted to take a brief break from self-care products and routines and just be real . As mothers, we have a tendency of being too hard on ourselves and not accepting ourselves entirely for who we are NOW. Of course we have body, financial, emotional, and career goals, but if we don’t accept ourselves in the present we will never accept and love ourselves, ever. Self love and acceptance begins within, first. You can’t be completely happy if you don’t love and accept yourself. It has been proven that self acceptance helps an individual come to the realization about the good and bad qualities that they possess, which in turn helps determine what we could work on as well discovering what makes us amazing and unique. When we begin to accept ourselves we experience peace.

You may not be where you want to be but accept yourself now and trust the process because there is absolute beauty in our life’s journey. Embrace, accept and love yourself. How can you love others unconditionally if you first don’t love and accept yourself in the same way? Once I started to accept and love myself my whole perspective about life changed drastically and it was a beautiful experience. I began to have clarity and freedom which was something that I was longing for quite some time. Now I confidently can say that I love myself and embrace every aspect of me even the parts I don’t reveal to the world.

Mamas, you are wonderful and perfectly fine where you are now, in the present. Not when you lose weight, not when you have your dream career, now. I felt it important to have this much needed talk with my boss mamas. Never forget who you are and that is beautiful, loved and definitely worth it. Self care is accepting who you are in the present. Take care loves!
